Services: Music Production

My main objectives are to give the artist a record that they are thrilled to go out and perform,
while giving the record company a product that can be marketed successfully... all within the budget.
As a producer/engineer I will save you money by doing both jobs at once, keeping The Mix in mind.

My first goal is to lay out a plan that best utilizes the budget and fits the time frame for release.
Making sure we do things in the right order and making the right choice of musicians is the key.

Coming up with the right songs is the crucial next step. We must be clear as to what market we are
shooting for. I will collaborate with the artist to write if that is what is needed. I then listen carefully
to the artist's initial rendition of the songs. The goal here is to get a strong emotional impression.

Now it's time for Pre-Production. I first apply myself to what I call "The Production Trinity".
"The Trinity", simply put, is the key; the tempo and the song form. Everything is built on this,
and there is always one way that combines these essential elements to create the most impact.

Producing vocals comes easily to me because I'm a singer myself and am very adept at harmonies.
I understand the psychology and techniques involved and know the ups and downs of the voice.
I find the best way to communicate with a vocalist is by singing the part that I have in mind.
